HOW TO REACH CASA PALOMINO SINCE ... AIRPORT

Obviously indications here are how to reach casa palomino by bus. If you want to reach it by taxi, just say to taxi driver takes you to "Fábrica Donofrio en la avenida Venezuela" (it means Donofrio´s Factory on Venezuela Avenue), and you will be two blocks away. Look the post name LOCATION here, and you will see how to reach home. Here we dont use taximeters, then you have bargain with the taxi drivers. Then, the price depends a lot on many factors as: how many people are you, what time is it, how gringo you look, etc. If you take it inside the airport, its going to cost you much more, maybe till 40 soles. But if you walk out of the airport and stop any taxi, the cost its going to be between 7-14 soles, depends on the factors i already mention. Obviously the second option is not so safe as the second one, but its up to you! and how you manage the risk.

But, if you want to enjoy more the fantastic transportation system of Lima (please, this is ironic, but i still love it), you can take two buses to arrive here. Go out of the airport and take any bus right there, who goes to the cross of Av. Faucett and Av.Venezuela. (ask the guy in the bus, and that he let you know when you arrive
there, is really close, like 10 min). Here it is on google maps:

http://maps.google.es/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=es&geocode=&q=lima&sll=40.396764,-3.713379&sspn=12.291229,18.918457&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Lima,+Santa+Mar%C3%ADa+del+Mar,+Per%C3%BA&ll=-12.062509,-77.097137&spn=0.015423,0.018475&z=16

Then, in this cross, take another bus,(direction to the center of lima) on Av.Venezuela. Almost any bus goes to my home, you have to ask if they go to Donofrio, and you get off there. Donofrio is like 5 min far, it is the brand of an ice cream here. Its impossible not see the bus stop, because is a big yellow factory that says donofrio (see the picture upload on the website), and has a Sun eating ice cream. :) (there is a picture for that too, but the sun is next with Inca Kola). Take a look of the place on Google Maps, its over Av.Venezuela with La Alborada.

Please, if you arrive during the night, after 9-10pm, try to avoid the bus option. There are not many buses in the second part of the trip, and the first bus stop
it is not precisely a beatiful and safe place at this time. Every bus ride is going to cost 1 sol. The second one, if you are a really bargaining-lover, can cost 50 cents. (Yes, here you can bargain even buses).

HOW TO REACH CASA PALOMINO SINCE ... MIRAFLORES

Obviously indications here are how to reach casa palomino by bus. If you want to reach it by taxi, just say to taxi driver takes you to "Fábrica Donofrio en la avenida Venezuela", and you will be two blocks away. Here we dont use taximeters, then you have bargain with the taxi drivers. Then, the price depends a lot on many factors as: how many people are you, what time is it, how gringo you look, etc. Since Miraflores it coud cost 12-20 soles.

Well, from Miraflores you can take any of the buses that go on Arequipa Avenue, (yes, those ones that has a guy screaming "Todo Arequipa! Todo Arequipa!" with half of his body off the bus). You can take them over Kennedy Park, on the bus stop next to Burger King. After that, you will go till the first block of Arequipa Avenue (Kennedy Park is over the 52th more less) and you will carry on this way like 100 more meters. You have to get off the bus next to Museum of Arts (Museo de Arte). Take a look at Google Maps:

http://maps.google.es/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=es&geocode=&q=lima&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Lima,+Santa+Mar%C3%ADa+del+Mar,+Per%C3%BA&ll=-12.060557,-77.03727&spn=0.009044,0.012896&z=16

Then, take a bus over 9 de Diciembre Avenue (all people know this as "Paseo Colón" but in Google Maps appears as 9 de Diciembre), direction to Plaza Bolognesi, anyone who goes to Venezuela Avenue (Avenida Venezuela). Ask the bus drivers or the guy who charge you the bus ticket, if they go to Venezuela and let you know when you arrive Donofrio (it is a factory over Avenida Venezuela, its impossible to avoid, its a big yellow building with a sign of a red sun eating ice-cream, take a look to the pictures on this blog). Then... you arrived! take a look over LOCATION post here in this website and you can walk two blocks to home. The place on Google Maps is this one:

http://maps.google.es/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=es&geocode=&q=lima&sll=40.396764,-3.713379&sspn=12.291229,18.918457&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Lima,+Santa+Mar%C3%ADa+del+Mar,+Per%C3%BA&ll=-12.059088,-77.068319&spn=0.015423,0.018475&z=16

If it is late, its a good idea to take a taxi from Museum of Art, it will cost 4-5 soles. Every bus costs 1 - 1.5 soles (it depends on what time is and on you bargaining). Good luck with the complex world of Lima´s transport system!
